Living with Trump

LIVING WITH TRUMP 11.9.2016

As a woman, and a democrat, I voted for Hillary.  When it was evident The Donald would win two things happened to me almost simultaneously: 1. A desire to move to Canada and 2. An enormous surge of excitement and anticipation.

I believe massive transformation is occurring on our planet. We in the United States have observed much of this with safe complacency. Countries and whole continents are suffering from the devastations of earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes, fires. Hundreds of thousands are experiencing war, terrorism, famine, disease, homelessness and a deep sense of fear and anxiety. Countless people, and animals, are leaving this planet.

All systems are being challenged – economic, social, educational, political, religious, cultural. As a nation, we cannot be separate from this. We cannot simply observe and pretend we have it better. We need to be awakened, shaken, thrown into some chaos and disarray.

We will take time to reflect deep within, to hold our disappointment, to rest from all the discordance of the past months. Nurture and love ourselves.

And then from the depths of this disarray we will mobilize, we will co-create. The grassroots movement will unite us, bring forth the energy and cooperative spirit that will re-birth this planet into one of cohesiveness, partnership, equality, peace and wellbeing.

We are privileged to be alive in this nation, at this moment, to participate in this change. And so, I choose to be excited, energized, ready to begin this movement – firstly within myself, and then to join my sisters and brothers in re-birthing the magic and the possibilities that first created  Planet Earth where all are equal, and live a life of joy, ease and wellbeing.
